ARPSC Board and Membership

The Oakland County Amateur Radio Public Service Corps (ARPSC) meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Meetings are held at the Oakland County Emergency Operations Center. Click here for directions.  

All are welcome at these meetings. Licensed amateurs are encouraged to attend and to become active.

Membership requirements (New members as of 1/1/2017)

  1. Check-in during at least one Thursday night net per quarter
  2. Attendance of at least one monthly meeting per year
  3. Completion of IS-909 within three months of approval of membership (This IS-909 is now used because IS-22 is no longer offered)
  4. Completion of IS-100.B and IS-700.A within six months of membership approval.

General membership requirements:

  1. Check-in during at least one Thursday night net per quarter
  2. Attendance of at least one monthly meeting per year
  3. Completion of IS-909
  4. Completion of IS-700.A and IS-100.B

RACES membership will require:

  1. Completion on the above general membership requirements
  2. Completion of IS-909, IS-700.A and IS-100.B will be required by 12/31/17
  3. Completion of IS-200.B and IS-800.B will be required by 12/31/18

Transition requirements for existing members:

  1. Completion of participation requirement will be effective immediately
  2. Completion of IS-700.A and IS-200.B will be required by 12/31/17
  3. Completion of IS-100.B and IS-800.B will be required by 12/31/18
Note: All currently issued RACES cards remain valid through 12/31/18. If you have completed IS-2 or IS-22, the IS-909 requirement is waived. If you have completed earlier versions of IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, or IS-800, the requirement for current version is waived. Completion of earlier versions will fully satisfy credentialing requirements.

The Board positions are listed in the roster below. Contact the AEC or Specialty Officer of the area you are interested in to find out more, or how to get involved. We can always use more help, and it is a great way to get involved. You can always just come to a meeting and offer your assistance!
